Hunger Ministries
Every Sunday morning volunteers provide a hot breakfast for approximately 150 homeless persons in the downtown area. Volunteers come on Saturdays to crack eggs and make other preparations for the next day's meal. Sunday morning they greet, pray with, and serve the hungry in our community.

Every Christmas season, turkey and trimmings are prepared and elegantly served at a lunch for homeless persons in the downtown area.
Each second Sunday of the month, approximately 125 quarts of gourmet soups are sold for $3 a pint and $6 a quart. For each dollar netted from soup sales or collected in the Soup Sunday offering, over $12 of food is purchased via church and city programs to feed the hungry in Memphis. Soup Sunday volunteers prepare the soups the Saturday morning before Soup Sunday. Their efforts lead to a profit of $10,000 annually.
